Orthodontics is cosmetic dentistry.

The practice of orthodontics is sometimes referred to as the ultimate in cosmetic dentistry because we use your own natural teeth. In some cases bonding, veneers, or dental implants may be necessary or could be an alternative to orthodontic treatment. At Northern Orthodontics, you decide which treatment is best for you.

At what age should I schedule an appointment for an orthodontic screening?

The American Association of Orthodontists recommends an orthodontic screening by age 7. By this age, several permanent teeth in most children have erupted, allowing us to effectively evaluate your orthodontic condition

.

What can we expect at our first appointment?

Your consultation will involve a thorough examination of the dental, skeletal and facial balance. We may take some special dental x-rays, photographs, and impressions of your teeth. After analyzing these records, we can develop a customized treatment plan to help you achieve a beautiful smile.

Sometimes after analysis of your orthodontic records,
Dr. Wolff may recommend that you see an orthodontic specialist. Some cases may require complicated maxillofacial surgery in order to reach the desired outcome, but hopefully for most people Northern Orthodontics will provide convenient affordable orthodontic care.

What fees are associated with orthodontic treatments?

Northern Orthodontics is proud of our low fee structure. We stand behind our work and will retreat any completed case of ours that has relapsed at no fee if the patient has followed proper post orthodontic care. If the patient has relapsed and not followed proper orthodontic care, there will be a fee to cover the cost of the brackets, wires, and appliances.
